Oceanquest Petroleum Nigeria Limited (OPNL) is highly committed to the local content initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
This policy communicates our strategy on Nigerian Content, and forms the basis for the development of the Nigerian Content plan and related local content enhancement programs. OPNL’s core strategies are outlined as follows:

• Ensure continuous training of local staff, technology transfer and skills acquisition/ development in order to boost capacity building.
• Ensure qualified, indigenous local contractors and suppliers are given first consideration in the provision of goods and services
• Embed Nigerian Content considerations into our contract and procurement processess
• Ensure qualified Nigerians are given first consideration for recruitment/ employment needs of the company
• Encourage our partners to support the NCD initiatives
• Develop mutually satisfying relationships with NCD and collaborate with all relevant industry and Government agencies who share in our mandate to contribute to the development of the Nigerian economy
